Discrimination

Posted by admin
Don’t discriminate solely on race, religion, gender, sexual lifestyle, medical condition etc.

Howcver do discriminate on merit, talent and values and even any of the above if it is proven to be essential and relevant.

There is no right to equal opportunity or outcome.  Opportunity and outcomes can never be equal since they are based on unequal circumstances and merits which is the right of an individual.

For example 10 gay men with active AIDS are refused as nurses. Even though we wouldn’t discriminate because they are gay we do reject them for the position because they have AIDS and are a danger to the patients.

10 white men are rejected from a Harlem women’s dance troop. Not because they are white but because they are male and gender discrimination is relevant.

Let’s use our brains and good judgement in our laws and leave room at the local level to make case by case decisions.
